Day 8 - The start of week 2

Corin was weighed this morning and is currently tipping the scales at 6 pounds, .09 oz. His bilirubin count is still climbing up a little bit, so his jaundice is not clearing up yet. We will check that number again in the morning. If it is still climbing, he may go back on a blue light. But they have little blankets that have the blue light built into the inside, so they may just wrap him up in that instead of putting him under the blue tanning bed light.

His oxygen levels have been doing fairly well. They keep slowly testing his lower limits to see what he can put up with. We may try tonight just taking him off of everything to see how he responds to it.

Pop and Lola came back up to visit tonight and Corin stayed awake for longer than usual while he was eating. So they got to see him up and looking around, which is always nice. I’m going to be pulling some alone time with my boy this evening. Michelle is coming in from Atlanta tonight, so Kristi is going to get her from the airport and then they are going to spend some time with our little guy. Both mom and Aunt Chelle are VERY excited!
