Day 123 - First Meal

Corin had his four month check-up at the doctor's office yesterday. She certifies that he is a healthy and beautiful baby boy. At the two month check-up he was in the 10th percentile for height and weight. Yesterday he weighed in at 15 pounds, 11 ounces (he really does weigh 15 pounds this time), and is 25.5 inches long. So he has jumped up to the 75th percentile for his age.
Since he is doing so well she said we could start trying to get him used to eating actual food by giving him rice cereal once a day. So we tried that tonight. He did fine sitting in his chair and let us put the food in his mouth, but I'm not sure that he knew what to do with it once it got in there. But he took a one or two good swallows, so we'll just keep working on it.
You can see in the top picture that he is grabbing onto his blanket. He has really started to grab onto things that are within his grasp, which is mostly blankets and burp clothes. He has just started to bring them to his mouth too (or bring his mouth down to his hands).
