First Steps

I know I look like a tool, but the boy is cute.

This boy LOVES blackberries.

Eating his first pancake breakfast.

The day after our last post Corin took his first steps! I was out of town and Kristi was with a group of friends and he took a couple steps on his own. She said that he may have taken more but all of the ladies started screaming and clapping and that distracted him a he fell over. He has taken a few more since then for other people, but not really for Kristi or I.
He had a meeting with a group called First Steps, which is a program that helps kids who are behind in different areas. They do a lot of work with babies who were premature. They recommended that Corin get a little physical therapy to help him learn to walk a little better. When he stands and walks along the couch, he bears most of his weight on the inner edge of his feet. That puts a lot of stress on his feet and knees. This causes him to try and walk on his toes, which relieves most of that pressure. They also want him to 'regular crawl' instead of 'Army crawling' which will help him develop more core strength which will help his overall mobility. We have heard wonderful things about this program (our doctor used it with her kids and can't say enough good things about it). It is supposed to have fast results, which is good, because this kid has got places that he wants to go. So we are looking forward to being able to help him on his mission to find everything electronic in the house and then push the buttons and yank the wires.
We also had a little One Year photo session on his birthday, and got those pictures back. Enjoy.
